Privacy Policy Statement

Bluearth is committed to protecting and upholding the right to privacy of clients, staff, volunteers, Board members and representatives of agencies we deal with. In particular Bluearth is committed to protecting and upholding the rights of our clients to privacy in the way we collect, store and use information about them, their needs and the services we provide to them.

Bluearth is subject to and abides by the Principles laid out in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. The organisation will follow the guidelines of the National Privacy Principles in its information management practices.

Bluearth will ensure that:

  • It meets its legal and ethical obligations as a service provider in relation to protecting the privacy of clients and organisational personnel.
  • Clients are provided with information about their rights regarding privacy.
  • Clients are provided with privacy when they are being interviewed or discussing matters of a personal or sensitive nature.

Bluearth’s Privacy policy, including any future changes shall be publicly accessible so that its existing, past and potential Customers/Clients are always aware of what information is collected, how it is used and under what circumstances it may be disclosed.

Collection of data

Customer/client information may be collected by Bluearth for the purposes of providing goods and/or services to the customer/client.

The type of data that is collected may include but may not be limited to:

  • Name/s.
  • Address/es.
  • Email Address/es.
  • Phone number/s.
  • Fax number/s.
  • Date of Birth (for participants in the Bluearth Approach).
  • Relevant Medical History (for participants in the Bluearth Approach).
Use of data

Information collected shall only be used for the purposes for which it was collected.

Storage of data

Customer/client information is kept securely in a confidential environment

Provision of data to third parties

Customer/client information may only be revealed to a third party where this is a required part of delivering the goods or service, or where the customer/client consents in writing to the disclosure.

Accessing and amending information

Any customer/client information held by Bluearth may be accessed by the customer/client. The information may be corrected to ensure accuracy and completion of the information held.

Data quality

Bluearth will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

Data security

Bluearth does not store customer’s credit card details on the website or website database. Bluearth will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

Bluearth will also take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information that it no longer requires.

Complaints, further information and future changes

Any complaints in relation to the collection, use, disclosure, quality, security and access of your personal information, may be made to the Bluearth Public Officer who may be contacted at [email protected].
