FOUR CORNER DRILL

A square or rectangle is marked out. Large enough to challenge students, but not so large as to dishearten them.

Students are paired up and spread themselves inside the playing area.

Pairs sit down back to back and are given a number each, either one or two.

On the call of their number students stand up and run to touch all four corners of the playing area and return to their partner.

EQUIPMENT: Cones.

AREA REQUIRED: Basketball court or any other area, indoor or outdoor that allows the whole class to move freely.

Everyone grab a partner and find a place to sit inside our playing area.

In your spot sit back to back.

Now choose in your pair, who is going to be one and who is going to be two.

Ones hold up your hands.

Twos hold up your hands.

When you here your number called you must stand up and run as fast a possible and touch all four corners, then return to your partner.

Call both numbers at the same time.

Change the movement (hop, skip, jump, animal walks).

Introduce a ball to each pair. Must be dribbled around the four corners.

Change waiting position from sit to lie down, back, front.
