WHY DOES BLUEARTH COLLECT STUDENT DATA?
The Bluearth Foundation (Bluearth) is a registered charity founded in 2000. It operates with the express purpose of improving health and preventing diseases of sedentary living. The Bluearth Approach is a unique movement approach to learning that improves health, behaviour, self esteem, confidence and academic achievement. Bluearth's goal is not simply to increase levels of activity but to improve movement and meaning though a lifespan.
The collection of accurate data plays an integral role in the mission of the organisation. It enables us to evaluate & validate what the organisation has achieved and provides support when making informed decisions on the direction of the organisation.
Bluearth currently collects data to produce several statistical reports on:
The number of teachers trained to deliver the Bluearth Approach program
The number of schools that have participated in the Bluearth Approach program
The number of students that have participated in the Bluearth Approach program
Recording a student's date of birth is a vital part in collating student data. It enables us to eliminate duplicate student records and accurately report on the number of individual students that have experienced the Bluearth Approach program. Such information is essential to Bluearth when seeking additional funding support from the Government and other organisations. It is critical to the ongoing viability of Bluearth that we are able to accurately articulate our achievements and demonstrate the positive impact our organisation is having.
